Aché: One Day Religion Tour in Havana

Learn the history of the religion in Cuba, from Catholicism brought by the Spanish colonizers to the African worship known as Santería, a rare mix of Yoruba with elements of Catholic rites.
Overview
At 9:30 am, your local guide will pick you up at your hotel or house.
We will have three stops:
First stop: Bosque de la Habana (Havana´s Forrest). This piece of green in the middle of the city (also known as the city lungs) is one of the most important religious spots on Havana. Here a Babalawo (Yoruba´s priest) will give you a demonstration of one of the rituals to achieve happiness and good fortune.
Second stop: Habana Compass Dance Company rehearsal. One of the most respected and popular dance companies in the country with a strong African and Spanish heritage. On this dancing rehearsal, you will witness how both Catholic and Yoruba religions merged in the modern Cuba society and art; a real fest for your eyes!
Time have lunch at la Barraquita; a paladar (private restaurant) with Spanish roots.
Third Stop: Guanabacoa Museum. Founded in 1964, it is well known for its rooms on Afro-Cuban culture, slavery and the Santeria religion.
After this amazing experience, I will take you to your home or house wishing you Aché (good fortune).
